Terms of Service — MyBookAm Marketplace

Welcome to MyBookAm Marketplace (mybookam.com/marketplace and mybookam.com/serviceplace), part of the MyBookAm marketplace family (“MyBookAm”, “we”, “us”). By browsing, listing, buying or selling here, you agree to these Terms.

1. What MyBookAm Marketplace Is

• MyBookAm Marketplace is a listing and discovery tool: it connects buyers with local shops (“Sellers”) and service providers by showing items, prices, seller names and full shop addresses.
• MyBookAm is not a shop, not a seller, not an agent, and not a party to any transaction. We provide the tool; the shops own the goods and services.

2. No Online Payment — By Design

• MyBookAm Marketplace does not collect, hold, process or transmit any payment between buyers and sellers. There is no checkout and no escrow.
• Buyers see an item, note the full shop address, then visit the shop or send someone to inspect and buy in person.
• Every transaction, negotiation, payment, delivery, warranty and refund is strictly between the buyer and the seller. MyBookAm has no role in it and no liability for it.

3. Buyers — Your Responsibility

• Inspect goods in person before paying. Pay only at the shop or through arrangements you make directly with the seller.
• MyBookAm does not guarantee the quality, authenticity, availability or pricing of any listed item or service.
• Be safety-wise: meet at the shop address, verify what you pay for, keep your receipt.

4. Sellers — Your Responsibility

• List only genuine items and real services you actually offer, with accurate prices, photos and your true shop address.
• Sellers join through ShopKepa; your ShopKepa terms also apply.
• You are solely responsible for your goods, services, prices, taxes and any dispute with a buyer.
• Prohibited: counterfeit goods, illegal items, misleading listings, or items you do not possess. We may remove any listing or suspend any seller without notice.

5. Listings & Content

• Sellers own their product photos and descriptions but grant MyBookAm the right to display and promote them on the platform.
• MyBookAm’s design, logo and software are our property.
• We may edit, reorder, or remove listings to keep the marketplace clean and trustworthy.

6. Availability & Liability

• We work to keep the marketplace available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyBookAm’s liability is limited to direct losses caused by the platform itself, and never covers transactions between buyers and sellers — we never touch that money.

7. Changes & Governing Law

• We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use means acceptance.
• Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; disputes go to Nigerian courts.
